Adding Entry Assets

An Entry Asset is the point at which a visitor enters an Initiative. You can add Internal or external Entry Assets to an Initiative:

About this task

  • An external Entry Asset is an internet resource, external to your Web site, from which visitors enter into an Initiative.
  • An Internal Entry Asset is a Content Manager item (a Component, Multimedia Component, or Page) from which visitors browsing your Web site access an Initiative.

In the Asset Library, the Entry Assets list contains predefined Entry Assets that are available to users when creating Initiatives. When you add a predefined Entry Asset to an Initiative, you create a new version of the Asset which you can then edit and modify. You can also create your own custom Entry Assets. For more information, see Defining a Custom Entry Asset.
