Purging tracked data

Purging allows an administrator to perform database maintenance on the amount of information stored in the database. If you want to keep data, make sure to generate Reports for the Initiative before purging tracked data.

Before you begin

To purge tracked data for an Initiative:

  • You must have Tridion System Administration privileges.
  • The Initiative must not be Live.

Procedure

  1. Open the Online Marketing Explorer and log on as Administrator.
  2. Open an Initiative in the Initiative details screen or select an Initiative the Initiatives overview screen.
  3. In the Administration tab, click Purge Tracked Data (the button is greyed out if the Initiative is active):
  4. When prompted, click Purge to confirm that you want to purge tracked

Results

Tracked data for the selected Initiative is deleted (tracked data for Initiatives in Child Publications is not deleted).
