Online Marketing Explorer is a software module for SDL Tridion that you can use to market products or services through your online channel. You do this by creating Initiatives in the Online Marketing Explorer interface. Initiatives are tracked on your Web site and from the tracking data you can generate reports to analyze progress. - Online Marketing Explorer user interface
You can create and manage Initiatives in the Online Marketing Explorer, a browser-based interface that you can access via the Content Manager Explorer. - Initiatives
An Initiative is an online marketing campaign. An Initiative consists of a series of Assets that share a single idea and theme. An Initiative has an Entry Asset defining the intended entry point of visitors to the Initiative, and a Target Asset defining the intended exit point. Assets are connected together to model the ideal flow of visitors from Asset to Asset through the Initiative. The goal of an Initiative is what should be achieved when the visitor exits the Initiative. - Entry Asset Query Builder
The Entry Asset Query Builder provides a user-friendly interface to define queries for External Entry Assets. An External Entry Asset defines a URL of a page, or parameter in the URL, of an external Web site from which visitors were directed to the Initiative. You can modify Predefined Entry Assets or create your own Custom Entry Assets. - Reporting
Reporting allows you to track the progress of Initiatives so that you can assess the impact of an Initiative and act accordingly. A report contains statistical data (in the form of pie charts, graphs, and tables) about the success or failure of an Initiative as a whole and the relative success or failure of individual Assets in the Initiative. Success is a visitor journey (or visits) that ends in the visitor completing the goal of the Initiative, as determined by the Target Asset. - Online Marketing Dashboard
The Control Room screen in the Content Manager Explorer allows you to keep track of all the Initiatives in the system. It provides you with general statistics about the performance of Initiatives and detailed statistics about the performance of individual Assets. You can filter the list of Initiatives displayed according to: the Publications they are in, status (finished, current, planned, or not defined), and a specific time period.
