Configuring a proxy server
Publishing content often involves sending data from a corporate network to a public network. You may need to configure proxy servers, intended to minimize the risk of unwarranted external access to the corporate network, to make such publishing possible.
Configuring a proxy depends on the protocols you are using and on the type of proxy you are using. There are two different types of proxies:
- A generic proxy monitors communications from various applications
- An application-specific proxy works only for the specific application you are using.
