The User Generated Content application installed on your Web site sends a cookie to the Community service. By default, this cookie is called TAFContext and contains tracking information only. You can configure various aspects of this mechanism.
Procedure
- Access the configuration directory of User Generated Content on the Web site. This directory is either bin\config\ (on a .NET Web site) or
WEB-INF/classes/ (on a JSP Web site).
- In this location, open the User Generated Content configuration file, cd_ugc_conf.xml.
- If you want to send more Claims in this cookie, uncomment the
ForwardedClaims section in this file and add them as new Claim elements inside ForwardedClaims, with the Uri attribute set to the URI of the Claim. Ensure that the section minimally contains a Claim with its Uri set to taf:tracking:id.
- Only if you have a pressing reason to do so, change the value
TAFContext for the CookieName attribute in the ForwardedClaims element.
- Alternatively, if you want to disable Claim forwarding altogether, insert an empty
ForwardedClaims section:
Visitors can now no longer edit their own comments.
- Save and close cd_ugc_conf.xml.
- If you configured a different cookie name, and any of your other clients also sends a Claim cookie to the Community service, ensure that those clients now send a Claim cookie with the new name.
- If you configured additional claims or a different cookie name, access the configuration directory of the Community service, which receives the Claims you send from the Presentation Server. This directory is either bin\config\ (on a .NET Web site) or
WEB-INF/classes/ (on a JSP Web site).
- In this location, open the Ambient Data Framework configuration file, cd_ambient_conf.xml.
- Configure any additional Claims in the
GloballyAcceptedClaims element as Claim elements with their Uri attribute set to the URI of the Claim.
- Configure a new cookie name by inserting a
Cookies section in the Cartridges section, then inserting the following Cookie element inside it:
<Cookie Type="ADF" Name="NEWNAMEOFCOOKIE" />
where NEWNAMEOFCOOKIE is the new name you chose for your cookie.
- Save and close cd_ambient_conf.xml and restart your Community service.
