Implementing the deprecated Outbound E-mail feature
Outbound E-mail, a deprecated product feature, lets marketing departments implement and manage e-mail communication campaigns.
- Contact filtering
In Audience Manager and Outbound E-mail you can segment and target audiences (Contacts) using filters. A filter defines Outbound E-mail fields, extended detail fields, or Keywords that you want to filter Contacts on. - Creating and updating a Dynamic Address Book
A Dynamic Address Book contains a list of Contacts that share common interests, preferences or characteristics. A Dynamic Address Book is defined using filters. Contacts are added automatically to the group depending on whether their field values match the criteria defined in the search filter. - Segment BluePrinting
To ensure BluePrinting integrity (future-proofing), when you first add an Address Book to a Child Publication in the BluePrint hierarchy, the root Publication in the BluePrint is “assigned” as the root. It becomes in effect an Audience Manager and Outbound E-mail Publication. - Configuring Synchronization Targets
A Synchronization Target synchronizes data between Content Manager and a Presentation Server. You can configure Synchronization Targets for Mail Tracking. - Mailings
You implement Mailings by assembling the default Outbound E-mail Template Building Blocks into a Page Template that is used in a Mailing and by modifying the Dreamweaver Template used to render the content of a Mailing. - Outbound E-mail API
The Outbound E-mail Content Delivery API provides access to Contacts (Audience Manager) and Tracking (Outbound E-mail) on the Content Delivery system.
