Tridion Connector for Salesforce Marketing

The Tridion Connector for Salesforce Marketing integrates with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and makes it possible to reuse Tridion content in Salesforce Content Builder. You can publish Tridion textual content and images to Salesforce Marketing Cloud where it can then be used for emails, SMS messages, mobile push notifications, chat messages, campaign landing pages and more. You can also build integrated and personalized customer journeys bridging Tridion websites, emails, social channels, and so on.

Supported capabilities

The Connector for Salesforce Marketing provides the following key capabilities::

  • Browse and view Data Extensions fields and active event definitions
  • Publish HTML and binary content to SFMC's Content builder (using the Multi-Channel Delivery Deployer extension)
  • Unpublish HTML and images from Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Trigger Journeys using custom forms embedded in webpages or using the GraphQL Content Delivery API
  • Query for contact data using the GraphQL Content Delivery API

Example use cases

These capabilities make it possible to implement the following use cases (among others):

  • Through integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud's Content Builder:
    • Reuse Tridion content and images in SFMC.
    • Use images from either Tridion Sites or a DAM system.
    • Provide localized content.
  • Through integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud's Form Builder:
    • Build forms connected to SFMC data extensions.
    • Trigger customer journeys in SFMC.
  • Personalization by exposing Salesforce Marketing Cloud contact data and journey/list memberships to websites managed with Tridion Sites.
