If the WebDAV Connector is installed server-side (true by default), any WebDAV-compliant client application on a client machine can access Content Manager, provided that a properly authorized end user adds the Content Manager WebDAV server to My Network Places.
Procedure
- To add the WebDAV server to My Network Places, open Windows Explorer, right-click My Computer or Computer, and select Map Network Drive from the context menu.
The Map Network Drive wizard opens.
- Follow the instructions of the wizard to connect to an online network location, that is, your WebDAV server.
The Web address of the WebDAV server is the URL of your Content Manager server followed by /webdav, for example, http://mysdltridion/webdav.
- When prompted, specify the credentials to connect to this URL as <DOMAIN>\<USERNAME>, where
<DOMAIN> is the name of the end user’s domain, and <USERNAME> is the end user's network user name, together with the end user's password.
