Associating your Business Process Type with Bundle Schemas

To specify how content items are related and how they flow through your organization before they are published, associate your Business Process Type(s) with a set of Bundle Schemas.

Before you begin

You must have already created a Business Process Type in which you set up a Topology Type and Target Types.

Procedure

  1. Access the Content Manager Explorer website.
  2. Navigate to a Publication in which you want to update an existing Business Process Type, expand it, and expand its Business Process Types node.
  3. Open the Business Process Type you want to update.
  4. Select the Bundle Schemas tab.
Bundle Schemas define the metadata, dissolving behavior, and associated Workflow Process of a Bundle. Bundles are containers for items in different locations for collective workflow processing or other collective use.
  5. Make one or more Bundle Schemas available to the user by double-clicking that Bundle Schema under Available Schemas, or by selecting it and selecting Add.
The Bundle Schema moves from Available Schemas to Linked Schemas. Users can create Bundles based on one of the linked Schemas, and if a Bundle Workflow is defined for the Bundle Schema, the Bundle is subject to the associated Workflow Process.
