Configuring Page Template File Extension
In Content Manager Explorer, you can open a Page Template and specify the File Extension you want to give to the webpages rendered using this Page Template. Your Web server or Web and Application Server may handle Web pages differently based on the extension of the file.
Procedure
- Open the Content Manager Explorer.
- Navigate to the Publication and to the Folder that contains this Page Template.
- Open the Page Template by double-clicking it.
- Select the General tab.
- In the General tab, enter a File Extension, for example:
- html for a plain HTML Web page
- aspx for an ASP.NET Web page (do not use if publishing to REL in a service-based, RESTful setup)
- jsp for a JSP Web page (do not use if publishing to REL in a service-based, RESTful setup)
- Click Save and Close to update the Page Template.
