Creating a Child Publication

In the BluePrint viewer, you can select a Publication in the BluePrint and create a new Child Publication. After you have created a Child Publication, it is only possible to add additional Parent Publications that share the same primary Parent Publication.

Before you begin

To create a Child Publication, you require a Child Publication Creation Privilege. To delete Publications, you require a System Administration Privilege. To otherwise modify a Publication or BluePrint, you need Publication Management rights.

Procedure

  1. Open Content Manager Explorer.
  2. In the Publications navigation pane, select the Content Management node.
  3. In the list view, select a Publication.
  4. Open the Ribbon toolbar Organize tab and click BluePrint Hierarchy .
  5. Select a Publication.
  6. In the Home tab of the BluePrint Viewer, click Create New Child.
  7. Create a Publication called, for example, 01_Italy.
  8. Click Save and Close.

Results

The new Child Publication is created and is displayed in the BluePrint Viewer.
