Editing an image in an area with formatted text
You can insert, replace, resize and set the properties of an image in an area with formatted text.
- Inserting a managed image in an area with formatted text
Use the Image button to insert an image stored in Content Manager at the current cursor position in an area where formatting is allowed. Depending on the webpage you are on, it may also be possible to insert a standalone image at a specific position. - Inserting a linked image in an area with formatted text
You can insert an image stored on the web into an area with formatted text. Because this image is managed by the owner of the website, it can change or disappear at any time, if and when the owner decides to change or remove it. For that reason, inserting linked images is not recommended. - Resizing an image in an area with formatted text
Depending on your browser, resize an image in a formatted text area by dragging, or by explicitly setting its width and height. - Advanced image options
Use Advanced image options, which appear when you click Advanced in an Insert Image dialog, to fine-tune how your inserted image will look on the webpage. These options are only available for managed images (images that are stored in Content Manager). - Replacing an image with a managed image
Use the Image button to replace an image on the webpage with a managed image (stored in Content Manager). - Replacing an image with a linked image
In an area where formatted text is allowed, you can replace a (managed or linked) image with a linked image (that is, an image hosted on another website). Because this replacement image is managed by the owner of the other website, it can change or disappear at any time, if and when the owner decides to change or remove it. For that reason, replacing an image with a linked image is not recommended.
