Images in a format area
You can insert, modify, configure and replace images in a format area.
- Inserting a managed image in a format area
You can insert a Multimedia Component that is an image file into a format area. - Inserting a linked image in a format area
You can insert an image stored on the web into a format area. Because this image is managed by the owner of the website, it can change or disappear at any time, if and when the owner decides to change or remove it. For that reason, inserting linked images is not recommended. - Resizing an image in a format area
Depending on your browser, resize an image in a formatted text area by dragging, or by explicitly setting its width and height. - Advanced image options
Use Advanced image options, which appear when you click Advanced in an Insert Image dialog, to fine-tune how your inserted image will look on the webpage. These options are only available for managed images (images that are stored in Content Manager). - Replacing an image in a format area with a managed image
Use the Image button to replace an image on the webpage with a managed image (stored in Content Manager). - Replacing an image in a format area with a linked image
In a format area, you can replace a (managed or linked) image with a linked image (that is, an image hosted on another website). Because this replacement image is managed by the owner of the other website, it can change or disappear at any time, if and when the owner decides to change or remove it. For that reason, replacing an image with a linked image is not recommended.
