Modifying a user's profile in Access Management

View and modify users for SDL Tridion Sites applications from the Users area of Access Management.

About this task

For provisioned users, you can modify the following profile information:

  • Basic identity information
  • Access settings for specific applications and API roles
  • The user's client ID and up to two client secrets

Procedure

  1. From the slide-out navigation, select Access Management.
  2. Go to the Users tab, which shows a list of existing users.
  3. Open the user you want to modify, and click Edit.
  4. In the Basic settings section, modify user settings, including the following:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Language
    • Region
  5. In the Access settings section, define access, as follows:
    1. Select one or more applications from the Applications list to give the user general access to these user interfaces.
    2. For each of the selected applications, select an appropriate API role for the user. The roles and their usage varies across the different applications.
  6. Optional: In the Client information section, you can manage the user's client ID and client secrets. Client secrets are necessary only if the user wants to access an API directly rather than through the user interface. For details, see the related topic on managing a user's client information.
  7. Select Save.
Access Management returns you to the list of users.
