Resizing an image in a format area
Depending on your browser, resize an image in a formatted text area by dragging, or by explicitly setting its width and height.
Procedure
- In Content Manager Explorer, navigate to and open the Component that contains the format area in which you want to insert the image.
- In the format area field, select the image you want to resize.
- If your browser is Internet Explorer or Firefox, select the image to make a set of sizing handles appear around the image's edges. Drag the handles to resize the image.
- Alternatively, if your browser is Chrome or Safari, do one of the following:
- If your image is a managed image (that is, if it is stored in Content Manager), select the image and from the Format Ribbon tab, select Image. In the Image dialog, select Advanced and modify the Width and Height properties as needed. Then click OK to apply your changes.
- Alternatively, if your image is a linked image (that is, if it is hosted on a third-party website), from the Home tab, select Open in Form View. In the field that contains your image, select the Source tab and in the HTML source, find the image (
imgtag). Set its width and height as needed, either in thewidthandheightattributes or in astyleattribute. In the Home tab of the dialog, select Save and Close to apply your changes.
