Troubleshooting fixing a slow WebDAV connection
If you are experiencing a very slow connection to WebDAV Connector from Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2, configuring Internet Explorer to not automatically detect LAN settings may improve your performance.
Procedure
- On your WebDAV client machine, open Internet Explorer, select the gear icon at top right and select Internet Options from the menu.
- In the dialog that opens, select the Connections tab and click LAN Settings.
- In the dialog that opens, clear the option Automatically detect settings.
- Click OK several times to commit all changes and close all open dialogs, then close all instances of Internet Explorer.
- Access your list of Windows Services and restart the WebClient Windows service.
