Unclassifying content
The unclassify action allows you to remove a Keyword association from one or more Content Manager items such as Pages and Components. When you unclassify an item, the Keyword or Keywords are removed from the Keyword fields of the item (Component fields or Metadata fields).
Before you begin
Furthermore, you must have the relevant rights for the type of Content Manager item you want to unclassify and Write permissions for the organizational item.
Procedure
Results
- The action fails if a Keyword field is mandatory field, in which case an error message is displayed providing details.
- When the action succeeds (the Keyword field is optional):
- the Keyword or Keywords are removed from the Component fields or Metadata fields of the selected items
- a new version of the item is created
- if the item is associated with a Workflow Process, the item goes into Workflow
What to do next
After you have unclassified content, you need to republish the items to synchronize the changes with Content Porter.
