Using Siteimprove features in Experience Manager

If your Tridion Sites implementation includes the Siteimprove extension, you will have access to additional functionality while working in Experience Manager. The extension provides actionable insights into website performance, including visibility into detected errors, user behavior, website accessibility, and SEO.

In the context of every Tridion Sites Page you are editing in Experience Manager, the Tridion extension for Siteimprove enables you to do the following:

  • View findings, such as spelling mistakes, directly in-context of a published (or to be published) webpage.
  • Before publishing Pages, perform on-demand checks while Pages are open for editing.
  • For live Pages, perform checks to gain insights into the consequences of unpublishing a Page.
  • After an issue is detected and fixed, recheck the Page in real-time and determine if further actions are needed.

The following screen capture illustrates a Page opened in Experience Manager where the Siteimprove extension has been implemented and highlights the two ways to access the feature:

  1. The Siteimprove widget is available as soon you open Experience Manager. By default the widget appears to the right in the window, but can be configured to the bottom or to the left.
  2. A Check Page button on the ribbon toolbar can be used to do on-demand checks on pages that have not yet been published.

If you’re not logged in to Siteimprove, you need to log in using your Siteimprove account. Click the widget to log in.
