Web site layer

This section describes the Web site layer in the single content master Blueprint which contains content in a country's primary language.

The Web site layer to the single content master Blueprint clearly separates translated content in the Translation layer with content that is published to a Web site. The following image shows an example of Publications defined in the single content master Blueprint Web Site layer:

  • Web Site Layer — the content of each Publication in this layer is published to a Country Web site and is a mixture of global content and local content:
    • Global (translated) content — the English Web site shares its content directly from the English Content Publication in the Content Master Layer, and the German, Dutch, and French Web sites share content from their respective Parent Publications in the Translation Layer, in which global content has been localized and translated from the Content Master Layer
    • Local content — country-specific content is created in Publications in this layer in the respective language of the Web site
