Contact detail and Segment triggers

Audience Manager is an SDL Tridion Sites Capability that enables you to gather information about Contacts, such as interests, preferences, and characteristics and use this information for targeting content.

Segments
A Segment is an item in Audience Manager that defines a group of users that have one or more shared preferences, interests and/or characteristics.

Contacts
A Contact contains details of an actual person or organization. Contacts are stored in Address Books. If you have Audience Manager installed, you can use Contact details as triggers for Promotions. The following table describes Contact details that are commonly used. These are available by default when you install Audience Manager, although the exact Contact details available are configurable and depend on your own implementation of Audience Manager:
