- Secure Token Service
- External Content Library includes a Security Token Service for issuing SAML tokens for SDL Web systems. A Security Token Service is an identity provider responsible for issuing security tokens as part of a claims-based identity system. When a client requests access to a secure software application, the application redirects it to an STS which authenticates the client and issues a security token (a SAML token). The software application then verifies that the token originated from a trusted STS.
