Support history: FAS
This section describes the versions of Fredhopper Access Server (FAS) (deprecated) compatible with each Experience Optimization (formerly SmartTarget) version and the operating systems on which you can run FAS.
Note the following:
- SDL deprecates support for Fredhopper and the Fredhopper Access Server (FAS) in SDL Web 8.5. Both are discontinued entirely in SDL Tridion Sites 9 where they are replaced with Elasticsearch.
- Up to and including SmartTarget 2011 SP3, FAS was delivered with SmartTarget. For these versions, the supported operating systems are those which both the Fredhopper and Content Delivery of SDL Tridion Sites (formerly SDL Tridion) platforms supported.
- From SmartTarget 2014 onwards, obtain the FAS from SDL Customer Support, and install it. For these versions, the supported operating systems are those which Fredhopper supports.
