Edit Project

Once you create a project, it is not a static piece of information. Depending on your permissions, you can edit and amend the project as translation needs evolve.

Some elements of a project cannot be edited, such as the name, unique id number, or client. Depending on your permissions, you can edit information related to custom project attributes, locales and due dates, and add or remove files from the project.

To see complete details for a specific project, click on the project id or name on the Projects page. Transport opens the Edit Project page, which has four or five major sections:
  • Project Information includes:
    • Status, Description, Client, Project Type, and System Attributes. Note that you cannot edit this information. If the current project status is “Active,” a Requires Action icon displays next to project status, which you can click to perform the necessary actions.
    • Quote. Depending on your permissions, you can view or edit the quote associated with the project by clicking on the quote link. You can also select the quote from the Quotes page.
    • Quote Document(s). Depending on your permissions, you can download the quote document, if available.
  • Additional Information displays information related to any defined custom quote attributes or folder hierarchy properties. You can edit this information.
  • Due Date and Locales lists the languages associated with the project and due dates for translations. You can only edit due date information.
  • File Monitor lists all files currently associated with the project and the translation status of each file. You can add or remove files from the project as necessary, download one or more files, or cancel the translation of a specific file. In addition, you can search for files using the Search Panel, or click Choose Columns to display or hide information contained in columns.
  • Project File Analysis displays word counts, or word counts and cost analysis depending on user permissions.

When you are finished editing the project, click Save.

Note that TransPort displays the updated project information on the Projects page.
