Edit Quotes

Once you create a quote, it is not a static piece of information. Depending on your permissions, you can edit and amend the quote as translation needs evolve.

The View Quotes and Edit Quotes is the same page. The user permissions determine if this page opens as View or Edit.

Some elements of a quote cannot be edited, such as the name, unique id number, or client. Depending on your permissions and the quote status, you can edit information related to custom quote attributes, locales and due dates, and add or remove files from the quote.

To see complete details for a specific quote, click on the quote id or name on the Quotes page. Transport opens the Edit Quote page, which has three or four major sections:

    • Project(s) Based on This Quote. Displays a links to the projects associated with the quote.
    • System Attributes. Displays information when the quote was created and last modified. This information is not editable.

Depending on the current quote status and your permissions, you can approve the quote or create a new project. For example, if a client/project manager changes a Requested quote status to Pending Approval, you can change the status to Approved by clicking Approve Quote.

You can add to or remove files from the quote as necessary, or download one or more files. You also can search for files using the search panel, or choose column information to display by clicking Choose Columns.
When you are finished editing the quote, click Save to save the changes if the quote status is has not reached Pending Approval.
