Filtering segments is particularly useful, for example, in making sure that there are no untranslated segments left in an asset when you submit it for review.
Procedure
- Open the appropriate asset in SDL Online Editor.
- On the View tab, in the Filters group, click Show Filters.
- If necessary, click Enable Filters.
The Enable Filters option is selected by default when you click Show Filters for the first time.
- In the Filters pane, under Segment Attributes, select one or more attributes used for filtering in the corresponding lists.
The filters are applied as soon as you select them and the number of segments that match the filtering attributes is displayed at the top of the Filters pane, in a form such as Filtered 16 of 184 segments. If the asset you are working on contains segments with comments, only the comments of the segments that match the filtering attributes are displayed in the Comments pane. Similarly, if the asset you are working on contains segments with revisions, only the revisions of the segments that match the filtering attributes are displayed in the Revisions pane.
- Optional: If you want to see all the segments containing revisions made with Track Changes, under Review, select the Segments with track changes check box.
- Optional: If multiple users are working on different segments at the same time, click Refresh to update the filtering results.
