Ordinal follower
A word that follows a period which itself follows a number, and signifies that the number is an ordinal (first, second, third...), rather than a cardinal (one, two, three...). Its use can be seen by considering the date expressed in German as 4. Juni. If Juni were not in the list of ordinal followers, '4.' would denote the end of a segment, and Juni would start another segment. Ordinal follower lists are a language resource.
