Performing Multiple Criteria Search

In WorldServer you can perform multi-criteria searches and you can also save your filters for later use.

To perform a multi-search:

  1. Select the Search panel checkbox, if necessary.
  2. Click Choose Columns... and then, in the Configure Table Columns dialog, select the columns in which to perform the search. When finished, click OK to return to the previous screen.
  3. From the Search In list, select the desired column and then, in the Search for box, type the desired filter. To perform a multi-criteria search, click the button to add the filter and repeat the procedure until you have added all the desired filters. You can remove all the filters at any time by clicking the button.
  4. When finished adding all the desired filters, click the button to perform the search.

To save your filter, click the button and then, in the Save Search Filter dialog, type a meaningful name for your filter and then click Save As New. You will be able to reuse your filter by selecting it in the Search Filter list and you can also add more criteria to it by following the above procedures.

If one or several search columns used in a saved multi-search is no longer available, the typeface of your search items changes color to red. This behavior also occurs if the search is performed on invalid data. Hovering your mouse over the criterion in question will reveal the nature of the error in a ToolTip.
