Project Overview
Most WorldServer users organize their work in projects and manage them from the Assignments tab. You can use projects and tasks, with related workflows, to manage the entire globalization process.
WorldServer gives you several views into your projects and tasks, and powerful tools to automate and control your workflows.
- About the Project View
- Standard Project View
- Tree Project View
- Change Project Attributes
- Change Attributes for Multiple Projects or Tasks
- Export Project
- Asset Import Options
When you have finished translating assets offline with a desktop translation tool, you must import the completed translation kit back to WorldServer. If you performed the translations using SDL Trados Studio, the translation kit will be a .wsxz package. If you used TRADOS, the translation kit will be a .zip package. - About Regulator Review Bundles
If you work in a regulated industry and you purchased a license for this feature, you can send a bundle of documents for review to an external regulator, using a method agreed upon in advance (for example, by e-mail or by placing the bundle on an FTP site). - Project Creation from File Upload
- Canceling a Project
You can cancel a Project that is no longer needed. - Change project priority
When a project is created, its tasks are assigned a priority by default. If you have permission to do so, you can change the priority of all the tasks within a project from the Projects List, or of individual tasks from the Tasks List. Changing the priority of all the tasks contained by a project will also change the project priority and viceversa. - Configuring Table Columns
You can configure the columns that appear in WorldServer tables or lists, such as the project list, task list, TM search results set, and TD search results set. - Change task priorities
When a project is created, its tasks are assigned a priority by default. If you have permission to do so, you can change the priority of all the tasks within a project from the project list, or of individual tasks from the task list. Note that you cannot change the priority of a running task; you can only change the priority of a task that is in queue, waiting to run. - How Tasks work
- Monitoring Tasks Progress in a Project
- Workflow Engine Queue
The Workflow Engine Queue allows you to monitor the status of automatic steps from projects across the WorldServer environment. Depending on your privileges, you can see all the tasks in projects that belong to you, or you can view tasks from all projects in the system. - Filter Engine Queue
The Filter Engine Queue allows you to monitor the status of jobs assigned to the File Type Server (FTS) across the WorldServer environment. You can choose to see all active jobs, or all completed and canceled jobs. - About Issues
