Starting and Stopping Tomcat on Windows
There are several ways to start and stop WorldServer under Tomcat:
- When you install WorldServer on Windows, the installer creates a Windows service called Idiom Process Monitor that automatically starts Tomcat on reboot.
You can manually start or stop this service through the Windows Services control panel.
If you do not want WorldServer to be automatically started on reboot, disable this service through the Windows Services control panel.
- The installation program creates an entry in called Start Idiom WorldServer and Stop Idiom WorldServer.
You can use these commands to start and stop the WorldServer application server.
