Steps in Workflows for All Projects
The Workflow Engine Queue allows you to monitor the status of automatic steps from projects across the WorldServer environment. To display the Workflow Engine Queue, go to the page. Depending on your privileges, you can see all the tasks in projects that belong to you, or you can view tasks from all projects in the system.
With the information in the Workflow Engine Queue, you can answer questions such as those shown.
- What is the status of my work or work happening throughout the WorldServer environment?
By examining the Workflow Engine Queue, you can assess when work might be completed.
- Which workflow engine is running my task?
In a cluster environment, where you are running more than one instance of the WorldServer Workflow Engine, you can display the Assigned to column. This column identifies the hostname, instance name, and Workflow Engine that is processing the task's automatic action.
- How long has my task been running?
For a given step that is executing, does the elapsed amount of time seem excessive for the work to be performed? If so, you may want to investigate further.
- How do I terminate a task that seems to be running too long?
If you determine that a task is taking far longer than expected, select the task and click Cancel.
- Does the priority of a particular task need to be changed?
If an urgent task is preceded in the queue by many other tasks, you may want to change the priority of the urgent task to move it up in the workflow queue.
