System Monitor configuration

System Monitor is a thread daemon that runs in the background and collects information about the JVM (Java Virtual Machine) and about the database. You can configure it from Management > Administration > System Monitor.

System Monitor runs based on the following configurations:
NameDescription
Interval (minutes)How often you want to collect reports about the JVM and the database (in minutes).
Database username and Database passwordThe system administrator credentials used to collect database statistics.
AIS mountThe AIS path for System Monitor logs. By default, this is /SystemMonitor. Only the most recent 100 reports are stored.
AIS mount pathThe AIS mount physical directory path for System Monitor logs.
AWS S3 bucket nameThe SDL cloud S3 bucket name. Do not change it unless SDL Support advises you to do so.
Debugger Select this check box if you want the debugger to be enabled. By default, the debugger is disabled (the check box is cleared).
Upload logs to AISSelect this check box if you want to upload the System Monitor logs to the Asset Interface System. By default, they are not uploaded (the check box is cleared).

You can configure the following property in the general.properties file to set the node name: clone_name=<WorldServer cluster node name>

Specify whatever value you want for this property. If you do not configure the clone_name property, System Monitor will use hostname as the identifier for System Monitor reports.

The System Monitor daemon updates its configuration every 30 seconds. Therefore, if you make changes, you do not need to restart the system.
