TransPort Projects

When you choose the Projects tab, or click Monitor Projects from the Home tab, TransPort displays the Projects page.

From the Projects page, you can view high-level information on projects as well as edit and manage projects.

Choose a display type from the View list to display project information in a:
  • Simple list, which displays all projects with all statuses, including archived projects, in a single list.
  • Summary By Project Status, which displays projects grouped according to the following statuses:
    • Active. This section lists all active projects.
    • Completed. This section lists all completed projects.
    • Canceled. This section lists all canceled projects.
    • Archived. This section displays basic information about archived projects, such as the ID or Project Name.

TransPort archives canceled or completed projects after a certain number of days have elapsed, such as 15. The countdown (in days) from 15 to 1 starts from the canceled or completed date. When the countdown reaches 0, TransPort changes the project status from Completed/Canceled to Archived and moves the project to the Archived Projects section (if the selected view is Summary by Project Status). TransPort users can only delete an archived project.

Administrators use archived projects primarily for reference and report generation.

By default, TransPort lists the following project information:
  • Project #. The project ID.
  • Project Name. The name of the project.
  • Status. The current status of the project.
  • Locales. The languages associated with the project
  • # of Files. The number of files uploaded to the project as well as the number of possible translations based on the targeted files and languages.

For example, if there are four files associated with the project and three languages, there are twelve possible translations - three per file. The File column displays this information.

Depending on the view and your permissions, you can also perform other project-related actions from this page, including:
  • Create a new project.
  • Download files associated with a project.
  • Cancel a project.
  • Delete a project. Note that you can only delete archived projects.
