User Type
Configure the user type by going to . Each user must be assigned exactly one user type, which controls the global permissions of that user. If more granular user permissions are required, create a new user type and assign it to that user. The access level controls which sections of WorldServer the user has the right to view and interact with. For example, you could restrict users to visiting the project page only and to have permission to view just the projects assigned to them.
The following are examples of user types:
- Administrators – All options are enabled. This user type cannot be modified.
- Authors – Options are enabled for using the WorldServer Explorer and working with tasks and issues.
- Editors – Options are enabled for editing tasks, working with issues, and maintaining linguistic tools.
- Reviewers – Options are enabled for viewing tasks and logging related issues.
- Translators – Options are enabled for working with projects and issues and using linguistic tools.
- Project Managers - All options are enabled except user, AIS mount, and general administration.
- TransPort - The options are enabled to use TransPort.
