Using AIS Triggers

Before you begin

An AIS Trigger is an action invoked by the occurrence of an event in the AIS (for example, save or create). AIS Triggers provide the ability to add custom extensions to the basic services. This mechanism can act as a notification engine when changes to AIS contents are made.

To use triggers, do the following:

Procedure

  1. Install new triggers by uploading trigger action modules at Management > Administration > Customization.
  2. Create instances of the trigger by specifying values for the trigger arguments in Management > Asset Interface System > AIS Triggers.
  3. Specify the assets to which the triggers apply in Management > Asset Interface System > View and Change Properties.
