Working with Custom Attributes in Projects

WorldServer allows the administrator to define an arbitrary number of custom attributes that can be associated with projects or tasks. These attributes allow the administrator to customize WorldServer to meet your specific needs. For example, you may decide that all projects should have an associated "billing code" or a "department" to which the project is related. You can also use custom attributes to track metrics like "quality of translation".

You can use a custom attribute to attach one or more files to be used as reference materials for translation. These attributes are carried along with the task or project. Some attributes are set at project creation time. Other attributes are intended to be modified along the course of the workflow. You can view these attributes by selecting the Customize menu item on either the Project View (to see project attributes) or the Task View (to see task attributes). You can modify project attributes from the Project View by selecting one or more projects and then selecting the Change Attributes button. You can modify task attributes from the Task View by selecting one or more tasks and then selecting the More Options > Task Options > Change Attributes button.

See the "Customizations in WorldServer" chapter in the WorldServer Administrator Guide.
