Working With Projects
A project represents work associated with a translation effort for a single target locale. It consists of tasks running through a specific workflow.
A project puts together all the pieces — the source and target assets, their linkage relationship, and the workflow. In TransPort, you can create a project in two ways:
- On the Home page, under Quick Start, click Create a New Project.
- Click the Projects tab (or click Monitor Projects from the Home page), and then click Create New Project.
Using TransPort, you can create and manage your translation projects. The major tasks associated with projects are:
- Creating projects
- Editing and updating projects
- Taking required actions on projects
- Completing projects
Starting with version 11.1, the former project creation wizard was replaced with the one from WorldServer. At the moment, you cannot create quote-based projects in the new wizard, but you can upload multiple files at the same time.
