Custom Filters

You might receive custom filters from SDL, or modify your own using the SDK. In either case, you upload them from the Customization page where they can be used in your translation projects.

Management > Administration > Customization: Filters

Note the following about the filter components that appear on the Customization page:

  • Filters provided by SDL usually start with the class name com.idiominc.ws.filters.
  • Custom filters appear in the list with a checkbox on the left, and can be deleted.
  • Embedded filters also appear in the list, but cannot be deleted.
  • You must associate a custom filter with a MIME type on the Management > Administration > Customization: MIME types page before you can use it in a translation project.
See the About Filter Configurations topic for more information on using and configuring filters. That information applies equally to custom and standard filters.

To upload a custom filter

  1. On the Customization:Filters page, click Add.
  2. Click Browse.
  3. Select the ZIP file containing the filter.
  4. Click Open.
  5. Click OK.
