SDL Trados Studio

SDL Trados Studio provides a single integrated environment for translators, reviewers, project managers, and other language professionals. With groundbreaking new features and an open, standards-based platform, it significantly enhances productivity and maximizes performance throughout the translation supply chain.

You can use Studio on your desktop to work with WorldServer projects contained in a project package (known in WorldServer as a translation kit). This file, which contains the selected assets and related information from WorldServer translation memories and terminology databases, has a file extension of .wsxz.

Typically you obtain a product package easily through the Edit/Translate functions available to you in SDL Trados Studio, or via the Export functions available in WorldServer; if not, via email or FTP. Once you export a project package, you can open it in Studio by selecting File > Open > Package. When you finish your work in Studio, you create an updated package by selecting Project > Create Return Package. The return package can then be imported back into WorldServer.

For more information about using Studio and WorldServer together, see WorldServer and Studio Integration Guide or the Studio online help system.
