Working with Tasks in SDL WorldServer 11.0.1

In SDL WorldServer 11.0.1 , every Project Group has one or multiple Projects associated to it. Every Project, in its turn, has a list of Tasks which you can see when opening the Project. To view the Task(s) list, click the Project Group name or the Locale on the Project Group page.

On the Tasks page, you can:
  • Add the entire page to your Favorites tab on the Home page by clicking
  • Sort any column (ascending/descending) by clicking the column header
  • Resize any column
  • See the total number of Tasks
  • Use pagination to navigate more easily
  • Refresh the Tasks list by clicking the Reload button
  • Decide how many records to see on the page by selecting the desired value from the Show list
  • Receive notifications on the top right-hand corner of the screen every time an action you perform on this screen is successful/unsuccessful.
You can filter which Tasks you see by selecting a category from the View list. Thus, you can display:
  • all tasks
  • all tasks claimed by you
  • all tasks assigned to you
  • all active tasks (all except hidden and deleted tasks)
  • all tasks in the project
  • completed tasks
  • canceled tasks
  • all tasks with changed assets
  • active tasks with changed assets
  • finished tasks with changed assets
  • tasks on human steps
  • tasks on automatic steps
  • tasks on error steps
  • tasks on canceled steps
  • tasks on parallel review steps
  • tasks on sub-workflow steps
  • tasks with issues
  • overdue tasks
  • unassigned tasks
  • unclaimed tasks.

You can filter the Project Group Tasks based on their Target Locale by selecting it from the Target Locale list. Note that the Target Locale column is always on the first position in the Tasks table.

You can further narrow the display by Workflow phase and Task step by clicking the following columns:
  • Phase View — enables you to narrow the Tasks list to only those Tasks at a particular workflow phase. (Workflow steps can be grouped into phases, to make them easier to track).
  • Step View — enables you to narrow the Tasks list to only those Tasks at the selected step. For example, you can select the Translate step (if there are Tasks at that step) and the Task List will display only Tasks at the Translate step.

To view one or multiple lines per row, click on the top right corner of the table.

To complete an Asset translation or a term validation task, select the task and click Edit/Translate. After you have finished translating or reviewing the asset or editing the term, click Complete Step to move the Task to the next workflow step.

Also, you can download the Source Asset of the Task by clicking the desired value in the Asset column.
