Copying WorldServer Configurations
SDL provides both options in the user interface and a command-line utility that allows you to copy the objects in a WorldServer configuration from one server to another. This feature is especially useful if you have configured WorldServer on a test system and you now want to start production work on another server, using the same configuration. The utility allows you to copy the following objects:
- Attributes
- Cost models
- Cost model rules
- File type configurations
- Human actions
- Linkages
- Locales
- Mounts
- Recurrences
- Roles
- Scoping configurations
- Terminology databases
- Terminology database groups
- Translation memories
- Translation memory groups
- User types
- Users
- Vendors
- Workflows
- Workgroups
Use this utility to replicate objects on more than one system, reducing the need to repeat manual configuration and testing.
This chapter describes how to export and import WorldServer objects.
