Managing projects

On the WorldServer side, client managers can view and manage TransPort projects from the WorldServer Assignments > Projects page. In the View box, select the selection order you would like to see:

  • Projects assigned to me
  • Projects for clients I manage
  • Projects for clients I am a member of
  • Projects for my locales and workgroups
  • Active projects
  • Canceled and completed projects

On the TransPort side, client users can create, manage, and delete projects if the TransPort user type to which they belong include these permissions. To set up TransPort preferences, go to Management > User Setup > User Types > User Type > TransPort. See the TransPort section of the User Type Permissions Overview.

TransPort is the new generation of Service Desk, which used the WorldServer Explorer to create projects. By contrast, TransPort uses clients, quotes, and project types to create projects, which WorldServer stores in a different directory structure. As a result, TransPort does not display projects previously created with the WorldServer Explorer.

To use the new wizard, you must also configure the navigation.panel.url property in the general.properties file in ws-legacy.
