What you need on your client machine
When you work in WorldServer, you connect to the WorldServer server machine from your client browser. All processing and database transactions are handled on the server machine. However, there are a couple of requirements that you have to meet to use WorldServer on your client machine.
On your client machine, you need to have:
- The following Java version:
- 64-bit Java™ Standard Edition 8
- One of the following browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
- Microsoft Edge 38 or later
- Google Chrome 27 or later
- Mozilla Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) 52.1.2 or later
- Safari 9 or later
- WorldServer can export and import standard XLIFF files that you can open with many desktop translation tools. SDL also provides direct integrations with the following tools:
- SDL Trados Studio 2019
- SDL Trados Studio 2017
- SDL Trados Studio 2015
- WorldServer also supports the following terminology providers:
- SDL MultiTerm 2017
- SDL MultiTerm 2015
