Working with SDL WorldServer 11.3

The new SDL WorldServer 11.3 brings about a number of new design features and functionalities introduced to help you navigate better through the application, perform tasks more easily and intuitively, and ultimately enhance your user experience.

The WorldServer UI has been through a process of radical redesigning in certain areas and now features a brand new project creation wizard and an easier management flow. You can now perform the following operations from a single screen:

Also, you can:

  • Show overdue tasks
  • Show tasks with issues
  • Show completed project groups/project(s)

Work with tasks
On the Tasks page, after selecting one or more tasks, you can perform the following operations using the ribbon:
  • Claim or unclaim a task
  • Include or exclude the cost of one or more cancelled tasks from the project
  • Edit or translate an asset using Browser Workbench or SDL Trados Studio
  • Import offline work
  • Export a translation kit
  • Complete a step
  • Cancel one or more tasks
  • Change the attributes of a task
  • Change the assignees of a task
  • Change the due dates of a task
  • Change the priority of a task
  • Download a task's source, target, or download the source in target directories
Also, you can:
  • View project group information:
    • Total progress of a task — the percentage of a task that has been translated/reviewed/pending review, and so on
    • Creation date
    • Source locale
    • Target locale
    • Scoping mode and so on
  • View task information:
    • Task General Information — the project to which the task belongs, the task ID, the workflow, source asset and so on
    • Task History — the events that occurred for the specific task. You can also filter the history to display human actions only.
    • Task Workflow — the workflow of the task.
For more information, see Working with tasks in SDL WorldServer 11.3.

Moreover, you can perform additional actions to navigate more easily. Some of them are part of the regular WorldServer behavior that you have been accustomed to over the years and others are new. For more information, see the other sections of the publication.
