Enterprise businesses

Different departments produce content and send it out for translation.

  • Interactions with Trados Enterprise:
    • Using the predefined templates which include the project: workflow, assignments, linguistic resources
    • Submitting files for translation
    • Approving translation quotes
    • Downloading translated files

LSPs and LSP organizations

They take over localization projects in terms of resource management, project planning, translation, and review.
  • Key players: external businesses and consumers (customers), the LSP, internal translators, external vendors (freelancers or other LSPs).
  • Interactions with Trados Enterprise:
    • Managing the users who are involved in the localization process: project managers, vendors, engineers, translators, reviewers
    • Setting up project prerequisites per enterprise business (customer): workflows, pricing models, translation engines, project templates
    • Creating translation projects on behalf of enterprise businesses (customers)
    • Reviewing and adjusting translation projects received via Trados Customer Portal
    • Planning assignments and monitoring the completion of project tasks: translation, review, customer review, project planning, DTP

Freelance localization providers (translators)

They offer their translation, review, or DTP services on demand.

Interactions with Trados Enterprise:
  • Working on tasks via Trados Studio or Trados Online Editor
  • Managing linguistic resources if included in the proper groups
