Trados Enterprise is a unique cloud-based localization platform which caters for every aspect of modern-day localization requirements in one place: high degree of automation across the localization chain, AI-driven cloud integration, system scalability, user-centric UI. This release of Trados Enterprise is centered around its core translation management capabilities.
Sustainable localization environment
- Project creation and management
- Translation
- Review
- Engineering, content conversion, and desktop publishing (DTP)
- Setup of linguistic resources
Full-stack provisioning of translation resources
- TMs - translation memories in the cloud.
- Termbases - lists of terms in the cloud.
- MT - neural machine translation (based on an Machine Translation subscription).
- Translation engines - collections of TMs, termbases, and MT.
These resources are applied to the submitted content during the preprocessing task in order to determine which of the content was translated before. The localization quote is further determined based on the pricing model. Once the project reaches the translation and review tasks, translators can start using these resources.
End-to-end content management
Each translation project is based on a project template which includes various linguistic resources (TMs, termbases, MT, translation engines) and non-linguistic resources (user assignments, workflow, pricing model). Each project template is associated with a customer. Projects can be created by customers themselves via Trados Customer Portal or by project managers via the main Trados Enterprise platform. Regardless of the way projects are created, they can then be monitored throughout their workflow tasks anytime.
Each translation project is made up of tasks which are claimed by the users which ensure that the project is completed successfully. Project tasks can be adjusted and users can be reassigned at any point to prevent bottlenecks.
