Trados Enterprise

The June 2021 release introduces new features and enhancements:
  • QA Check Report
    • The QA Check Report is available for administrators, lead project managers, and managers, when they access a project from Trados Enterprise, from the project Reports sub-tab.
    • The QA Check Report is generated after the Automated QA Check task is completed.
  • Assign task to Project Creator
    • When you make assignments, you can assign tasks to the Project Creator.
    • Make sure that the Project Creator has access to the Trados Enterprise UI to be able to accept the task. If the Project Creator is a Customer Requester (a Trados Customer Portal role), then they will not be able to accept the task and work on it, because Customer Requesters do not typically have access to the Trados Enterprise UI.
  • Hide project templates from Trados Customer Portal

When you create a project template or a project, access the Settings tab, and enable or disable the Customer Portal visibility check box.

  • Batch upload files from the Inbox view
    • After you worked offline on the files of your accepted tasks, you can batch upload (bulk upload) them.
    • You can upload individual files from one language folder at a time.
    • The uploaded files replace the original files based on the task ID prefix in the file name. Make sure you do not delete the task ID prefix which is attached to the file name automatically when you batch download the files of your accepted tasks.
    • The batch upload works for the following tasks: Engineering, DTP, and Final Check.
  • Delete custom workflow templates

You can delete the custom workflow templates which have the DRAFT status.

  • Deactivate custom workflow templates
    • You can deactivate custom workflow templates to free an activation spot for other workflow templates.
    • You can deactivate the custom workflow templates which are not included in any workflow, and in any other resource based on that workflow (project templates or projects).
    • After you deactivate a custom workflow template, the workflow and project templates based on the deactivated custom workflow template are marked as invalid, and you cannot start the associated projects. To fix this issue, select an active custom workflow template as part of your workflow.
  • Rename tasks in custom workflow templates

You can rename multiple iterations of the same custom workflow task.

  • Postpone sending users an account activation link

Add users to an account without sending them an invitation straight away, but rather at a later date when you think it is relevant for those users to access Trados Enterprise.

  • Increased character limit for project description

The character size limit was increased from 200 to 1000 for the Instructions and Description fields, used during project creation and editing.

  • Copy project and task details
    • You can copy the project details to refer to them offline. Use the copy project or task details button in the following screens:
      • Projects view > select the project check box > right-hand side panel
      • Projects view > select the project check box > Open > Dashboard tab > right-hand side panel
    • You can copy the task details to refer to them offline. Use the copy project or task details button in the following screens:
      • Inbox view > select the New or Active tab > select the task check box > right-hand side panel
      • Inbox view > select the New or Active tab > select the task check box > Open > Details tab > right-hand side panel
  • Public API enhancements
    • Quotes can now be edited through the API.
    • TQA models are accessible through the API. (onceTQA functionality is released in a future release)
    • Files can now be cancelled through the API
    • Fixed an issue with the Download Target file version API call not always returning the correct version
    • Error messages have been standardized in the documentation.
    • Documentation for currency types and conditional costs is now available.
    • URLs and references in the documentation have been checked and amended where necessary.
  • Trados Online Editor updates
    • When opening a Customer Review task in Online Editor, Tracked Changes is now enabled by default to make tracking changes easier. A user can still opt to manually disable Tracked Changes if needed.
    • Rebranded Online Editor as Trados Online Editor
