March-April 2020
This release continues the series of updates and improvements following the initial release in September 2019.
Trados Enterprise
- Mid-Project updates
-
- You can now upload additional files to an existing project from . This will kick off a new parallel workflow. Files will be identified by batches, so you know if it's in the original or subsequent batches.
- SDL Customer Portal will enable you to view the updated files and handle any necessary quote approvals.
- Initiating mid-project updates from SDL Customer Portal by the content owner (Customer Requester) is on the roadmap.
- Custom Fields
-
- You can now configure Custom Fields from . The supported field types are: Number, Decimal number, Boolean, Date, Text. The following additional field types will follow soon: Checkbox, Long text, Picklist, Picklist Multiple Selection.
- You can specify a description, default values, read-only and/or mandatory property, a unique API ID.
- You can define the visibility of fields at both SDL Language Cloud and SDL Customer Portal to specify whether they should show during project creation or in project details.
- Custom fields can be used in project templates, during project creation, or during the editing of an existing project.
- AI Assignment suggestions
- We now present suggestions on the best fit user to assign to a task. This is based on a combination of Content Analyzer output, service type, language directions and domain information. To enable this, you can now specify the Domains served by a user when editing the user profile.
- TU statuses
-
- You can now configure TU Status penalties as well as Filters on TU status to be applied during the Pre-Translation phase in Project Settings. The default value is 0.
- You can configure which TU Statuses you want to be stored in the TM during the Update TM process.
- In terms of TM Import/Export, we now include the TU Status in TMX files. When importing a TMX, statuses are preserved as per the import. If the import file does not have a status, we automatically set it to Approved.
- SDL Online Editor will indicate and store which of these new penalties will be applied.
