Cancelling files

In some cases, you may not be able to troubleshoot the errors thrown by the system. In other cases, you may want to stop translating a file in a given target language. You can handle these situations by cancelling the files.

About this task

Note that if you cancel files, the Analysis task, the Project Planning task, and the Customer Quote Generation task are still generated and run.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Trados Enterprise (by accessing this link: http://languagecloud.sdl.com/lc).
  2. Go to the Projects view.
  3. Select the check box corresponding to the project.
  4. Select Open.
  5. Select the Files sub-tab.
  6. Decide whether you want to cancel the source file or a specific target file. You can also cancel multiple files of the same type.
    • If you cancel the source files, this stops all target versions of that file. As a result, the file you cancel does not get translated in any of its target languages. To do this, select the check box corresponding to the source file, and select Cancel file.
    • If you cancel a specific target file, only the workflow for that file stops. As a result, the target file you cancel does not get translated. To do this, select the check box corresponding to the target file, and select Cancel file.
