- Rule type - the type of the inline rule, Tag pair or Placeholder.
- Opening - string of text that marks the beginning of the rule.

- Ignore case - does not take capitalization into account.
- Translate - specifies if the rule is translatable.

- Remove Line Breaks - removes line breaks and displays paragraphs inline.
- Replace Line Breaks with inline tag - keeps line breaks and displays them as inline tags in the Editor.
- Keep Line Breaks - keeps line breaks but does not display them as inline tags in the Editor.
- Display warnings for improperly paired tags - displays a warning notification if improperly paired tags are found.
- Choose when to add Unicode UTF-8 byte order mark (BOM) in the target file:
- Preserve; don't add if not originally present - does not add byte order mark if the source file is encoded with UTF-8 without BOM.
- Preserve; add if not originally present - adds byte order mark if the source file is encoded with UTF-8 without BOM.
- Remove if present - removes byte order mark if the source file is encoded with UTF-8 with BOM.
- Encoding - tells Trados Studio how to interpret numbers and characters in the file.
- Detect as UTF-8 if the byte order mark (BOM) is missing - enforces UTF-8 detection if the file does not have a BOM.
