Editor view screen layout and functionality
The Editor view includes several components.
Procedure
- Ribbon tabs which contain Trados Studio commands organized into groups.
- Ribbon groups which contain all the commands that you need to translate, review or sign-off a document in Trados Studio.
- A translation preview window that is updated in real time as you type.
- An Advanced Display Filter window packed with options for searching through the open document.
- A Termbase viewer window showing the terms in the selected termbase.
- A set of tabbed windows that appear above the Side-by-Side Editor window. These include a translation results window, a concordance window, a comments window, a messages window, a term recognition window and term search window.
- The Editor window you translate, review or sign-off documents.
- The Status bar which displays information about the current document, segment and the active display filter.
- The Views navigation buttons from where you can switch to other view and access Trados Studio functionality related to that view.
- Navigation pane, where you can see the documents that are currently open and navigate between them.
You have many options for personalizing the Editor view. For example, you can resize the Editor window so that it fills the screen and the windows can be rearranged or hidden to suit the way you work.
